Two Estates — One Heart:

The June 2006 wedding of Carolin and Jürgen Hofmann married not only two individuals, but their respective parents’ wine estates, and most importantly the very different wine cultures of the Saar and Rhinehessen as well. Their shared philosophical approach to producing world-class wines has resulted in a one-of-a-kind bridge: two winegrowing regions, one location. A tremendous challenge best summed up in a passing comment: “Uns werd ned langweilig! (‘It’s never boring around here!’).”

The shared winegrowing estate is located in a modern new building erected in Jürgen’s home town of Appenheim. It houses the cellar, warehouse and tasting room, as well as the family’s residence where they live and work with their daughter Johanna, son Paul and baby Helena.
